Jennifer's goal is to assist parties in a dispute to reach a satisfactory resolution of their matter. Through years spent litigating cases, Jennifer witnessed first-hand the emotional and financial toll, which protracted litigation took on her clients–both plaintiffs and defendants. The process of mediation allows both parties to be heard and rather than relinquishing all control of the outcome of their case to a judge or jury, allows parties to mutually reach an agreement on the resolution of the matter, while halting escalating litigation costs.
Jennifer assures that parties to a mediation understand the process and feel heard. When it is helpful to the mediation process, Jennifer utilizes her medical-legal experience to assist parties in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of their case.
It is truly gratifying to witness parties reach resolution of their matter and have the burden of litigation lifted. Jennifer mediates pre-litigation claims and claims involving active litigation—including cases on the eve of trial.
Jennifer has been trained in mediation through both the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University.
